University of Lincoln Degree show 2014: Illustration

I am super happy with my little show space in the show, it's turned out better than I have imagined and I feel it showcases who I am starting to become as an illustrator. The tie was made by myself through reconstruction and I am hoping to do some similar projects in the future.

business cards

I am currently loving my swish business cards that I have ordered from printed.com. Makes the whole thing feel more concrete now.

The best of 3rd year work

A small selection of my best works from my final year of university. Safe to say I am glad I have finished and I am looking forward to be working full time in this field.

This might not mean much to others but it's a massive deal for me...

I did a cheeky Google search to see if my Facebook page would pop up and sure enough......

It did! This is a huge relief because that means my work can be searched by potential  agencies  and clients. The next step is to make business cards!

Starting my 3rd year take 2.

After having a refreshing (and eventful) gap year, I have gained enough artistic drive to carry on with my studies and take on each brief with a positive mind set. I'm head over heels with one of the tasks in this summer brief as it explores one of my keen interests in illustration that I have wanted to develop further, which is typography. So for now here is an illustration I did during my time off while I order some supplies and do some research into working illustrators.

I had a go at making a logo...

So I've taken a liking towards company logo design and this is one that I am submitting to a designer who's the company it belongs to. I need to learn how to use vector and illustrator before I return to university, so that will be on my 'gap year to do list'.

rough drawings

Drawing ideas for a collage I plan on making inspired by Michelle Mildenhall. Mine will be made out of card rather than latex like Michelle has for her illustrations. heres a link to her site.
